I have a spreadsheet for this, and it’s embarrassing. Arlington’s dessert game is a sprawling, glorious mess, and I’ve eaten my way through it to save you the trouble.

You can grab a flawless flaky everything croissant in the morning, then chase it with a popcorn miso caramel scoop that sounds bizarre but works. The range here is wild, from the no-frills chopped cheese that made me cry to an elegant marble bar with a torched lemon iced coffee.

One thing's for sure: you’ll need a nap after this. Here’s where to start.

I found Sugusto Sandwich and Coffee by accident, and I’m so glad I stayed. The breakfast bagel is worth the detour, trust me. Fresh cracked eggs, a bagel with the right chew, and flavors that actually fill you up. But the chopped cheese made me cry. I’m not joking. That sandwich packs so much flavor I had to sit down and process it. It’s messy, it’s huge, and it’s incredibly satisfying. If you’re wandering around Arlington and see this place, walk in.
